YAC is pleased to announce the first edition of its university contest
With a history of more than 50 competitions for young designers, YAC is an international reference in supporting the talent and creativity of new generations.
In its 10th year of activity, YAC is pleased to announce the first edition of its university contest, which is addressed to students, recent graduates and professors of architecture.
The competition is aimed at giving value to projects carried out in the university context, rewarding both the students and the teachers who were involved in their development.
Through a distinguished jury and a monetary award today, more than ever, YAC’s activities are aimed at supporting young architectural designers.
Young people, and those involved in their education, deserve the highest possible support, and YAC University Award aims to foster appreciation of excellence as early as in the academic field.
YAC thanks the architects who will participate in this project.
Whom is it for and how it works
The Competition is addressed to students and young graduates in architecture who have carried out the nominated project in the last 3 years. The Competition rewards both the students and the teachers or supervisors involved in the relevant projects. The prize is awarded for architectural projects, whether exam projects or thesis projects. The award is completely free of charge, there are no entry fees.
Eligible projects
It is possible to submit any project, including dissertations, which have as their object:
Restoration projects including newly designed elements
Projects in recovery and redevelopment of existing architecture
Projects in technical architecture where the technical elements are part of a broader architectural design activity
Urban planning projects
Landscape projects
Interior design/installation projects
Prizes
All awarded projects will be sent to websites, magazines and architectural platforms. Furthermore, they can be displayed in national and international architectural events.

The Jury
Some of the most distinguished exponents of contemporary architectural thought were invited to evaluate the best dissertation.
Timeline
Complying with deadlines is a fundamental requirement to take part in the competition. All architects are encouraged to pay the utmost attention to the timeline and to complete each phase in advance.
